Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know before getting started — for companies running an Earshot program and for the workers who text in the leads.

Running an Earshot program
How to bring people on, who's eligible, and how rewards work. Short answer: way more people are eligible than you'd think.
Do workers need a company email address to join Earshot?+
No. Workers can be enrolled with any email address — Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, a personal domain, or no work email at all. Earshot doesn't enforce a company-domain check, because many of the most valuable lead sources don't have a @yourcompany.com inbox. Add anyone you'd like to reward for leads.
Can we enroll contractors, temps, and 1099s — not just full-time employees?+
Yes. Earshot was built for this. Add full-time employees, contractors, per-diem staff, seasonal workers, or anyone else you want plugged into your lead pipeline. Every worker gets the same SMS workflow, dashboard, leaderboard, and payout treatment regardless of their employment classification.
Can we add people outside our organization — vendors, partners, friends-of-the-firm?+
Absolutely. If you trust someone to send you tips and you want to reward them when those tips close, add them as a worker. Their email doesn't need to match your domain, they don't need to be on payroll, and they don't need to log into anything. They just text leads in like everyone else and get paid when deals close.
How do we track and reward different worker types differently?+
Use custom reward rules and routing rules to slice your roster however you want — by team, region, employment type, or individual worker. You can pay an FTE a flat bonus, give a contractor a percentage of the placement, and route a key partner's leads to a specific BD rep. Everything is configurable per worker.
Is there a limit on how many workers we can add?+
No hard cap. You only pay for workers marked Active in your roster. Pause or remove someone and they stop counting on your next invoice — so it's safe to bring in a long list and tune it over time.
Do all workers get the same leaderboard and payouts?+
Every worker shows up on the same leaderboard and gets paid through the same automated flow, but the payout amount per lead is driven by the reward rules you configure. You can mix flat bounties, percentage-of-placement, and tiered bonuses to fit each group.
What CRM does Earshot integrate with?+
Native integrations with Bullhorn, HubSpot, and Salesforce ship with every plan. Leads land in your pipeline automatically with the worker tagged as the source, so attribution and payouts stay accurate.
For workers
Texting in leads and getting paid
No app, no login, no password. Just your phone.
How do I sign up as a worker?+
Your company admin will either text you a welcome message from Earshot or email you an invite link. Either way, all you have to do is confirm your name and mobile number — there's no app to install and no password to remember.
What if I don't have a work email — can I use a personal one?+
Yes. Any email address works — Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, whatever. Earshot identifies you by your mobile phone number, not your email, so a personal address is completely fine.
How do I find my dashboard? What if I lost the link?+
Your dashboard lives at a private link your company sent you. If you've lost it, just text the word LINK to (571) 290-2966 and Earshot will text your dashboard link right back to you. You can also text DASHBOARD — same thing.
How do I submit a lead?+
Just text what you heard to (571) 290-2966. No format required — write it like you'd tell a coworker. Earshot's AI will ask a couple of quick follow-up questions (who, where, when) and pass the lead to your company's sales team.
How do I get paid?+
When a lead you submitted turns into a closed deal, your company marks it converted in Earshot and a payout is queued for you automatically. You can see pending and paid amounts on your dashboard. Payout methods are set by your company — most pay through their normal payroll or 1099 process.
Who can see my leads — does my employer see everything I text?+
Your company admin can see the leads you submit (that's how they work the deals), and Earshot's support team can see them for troubleshooting. They cannot see texts you send to anyone else on your phone — Earshot only sees messages you send to its number.
Do I have to be a full-time employee to participate?+
Nope. Earshot programs include full-time staff, contractors, temps, and outside partners. If your company added you, you're in — and you get paid the same way as everyone else when your leads close.
Your next deal is already in earshot.
One closed placement pays for Earshot for the year. Gamified for your workers, optionally wired into your ATS or CRM.
