Field Academy
Module 8 of 8

Etiquette and boundaries

Don't snoop. Don't photograph client sites. Don't promise anything. Do listen.

Last lesson, most important from a risk standpoint. Follow these and you stay on the right side of every client.

Don't

  • Don't snoop. No going through papers, peeking at screens, or photographing anything inside a client site.
  • Don't badmouth anyone's current staffing provider. Even if you think yours is better. It's not your job to sell.
  • Don't promise anything on your staffing firm's behalf. Pricing, timelines, headcount — leave it to the BD team.
  • Don't approach strangers to pitch. You're not a salesperson. You're a spotter.
  • Don't pressure people. If someone shares info, great. If they don't, drop it.

Do

  • Do listen. The best tips come from normal conversations.
  • Do report what you see in public. Now Hiring signs, expansion, anything visible from the street is fair game.
  • Do send the tip later. Never text a lead in front of the person you heard it from.

One important note about your current placement

If the company you're currently placed at is expanding or short-staffed, that's still a lead. It goes to your staffing firm, who already has the relationship. More placements there means more shifts for everyone — including you.

That's the whole program

Notice. Text. Get paid. Keep your eyes open and the bonuses will follow.
